From 1996 through 2011, The Lone Star Report was a weekly newsletter devoted exclusively to coverage of Texas politics and government. Since 1996, we have been published by the Lone Star Foundation, a non-profit research and education foundation in Austin.
Each issue of LSR combines breaking news stories, exclusive investigations, original research on Texas public policy, in-depth analysis of current political developments, lively commentary from the likes of nationally syndicated columnist William Murchison, and the juiciest intelligence from inside the Capitol of Texas.
Our readership includes all of Texas' statewide elected officials, most of the Texas Legislature, agency executives, top lobbyists and association executives, corporate government affairs representatives, leaders of both major parties, grassroots political activists, business and community leaders, and ordinary people with an interest in Capitol news beyond what their local newspapers provide.
